What is the AI-Native Test?

By Rohit Gupta & Sunit Sharma · InspiringX · Updated July 2026

Most professionals cannot answer a simple question: how good am I with AI, really? Job titles do not tell you. Tool subscriptions do not either. What matters is how AI shows up in your actual work.

The three levels

  1. Level 1: prompt-first. You open ChatGPT or Claude when stuck. Useful, but ad hoc: results depend on the day.
  2. Level 2: workflow builder. You have repeatable chains: tuned prompts, AI wired into docs, tickets and design tools. Your output is consistent and faster than peers.
  3. Level 3: AI-native builder. You design and ship things others use: agents, internal tools, product features. You think in systems, not prompts.

Why levels matter more than tools

Tools change monthly. Levels describe how you think, and thinking compounds. A Level 2 PM with mediocre tools outperforms a Level 1 PM with every subscription on earth.

How to move up a level

The AI-Native Test is nine questions and takes three minutes. Your result also tunes what you build if you join a session: the class meets you at your level rather than teaching to the middle.
